Sandiaga Call IDR 15 Million in Government Debt Toddlers
Candidate number 02 candidate Sandiaga Uno said that the current government debt is getting bigger and bigger. As a result, according to him, a toddler must even bear the government debt of Rp. 13 million.
This was conveyed by Sandi during a campaign at Pantai Mutiara, Bantaeng, South Sulawesi. Sandi, who saw a mother carrying a toddler named Ifa, said she hoped that Ifa and other toddlers would not bear the burden of the current government debt.
Lensa Aktual. "Because Indonesia owes a lot, Ifa has now owed thirteen million rupiahs. So we will repay the debt in 2019 so that Ifa is happy and has no more debt," Sandi said in a written statement from Prabowo-Sandi's Media Center Team on Tuesday.
The Ministry of Finance noted that President Joko Widodo's government debt in November 2018 reached Rp.4,395.97 trillion. The total debt fell by Rp82.84 trillion compared to last month's Rp.4,478.6 trillion.
Sandi promised to repay the government's debt if elected with Prabowo Subianto in the 2019 presidential election. In addition, Sandi said, his party would also move the people's economy, create jobs, and provide affordable staples.
"We side with the UMKM actors, farmers, fishermen and people who have not been considered in this wealthy Indonesia," he said.
On the other hand, the former deputy governor of DKI Jakarta also wants to stop the import of goods that can be produced domestically. Sandi promised not to import basic commodities when farmers were harvesting.
"We will stop importing goods or raw materials that can be produced domestically. Including a ban on hard imports when our farmers are harvesting," he explained.
Before heading to Bantaeng, the former Chair of the Indonesian Market Traders Association (APPSI) inaugurated Roemah Djoeang in Jeneponto Regency. Sandi was also asked to inaugurate the Prabowo-Sandi Winning Post when departing from Takalar Regency to Jeneponto.
The Prabowo Subianto pair attended a number of agendas in the South Sulawesi region, including in Takalar Regency, Jeneponto Regency, Bantaeng Regency, Bulukumba Regency, and Sinjai Regency.
